Keeping up with winter weather reminds me of the lather-rinse-repeat instructions on a shampoo bottle:
- Watch the snow pile up outside.
- Shovel a clear path.
- Wait 1-2 days.
- Repeat.
It’s like being stuck in an endless loop. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Groundhog Day is in February, smack in the middle of winter.
Just as I start to feel happy seeing the gravel poke through our driveway, or lose some of the muscle pain from the previous shoveling adventure, it starts again. Sometimes, it’s the same amount. Most times, it’s more. In all cases, it truly sucks.
I guess it’s the bad you have to take with the good. I love the colours we get in autumn, and look forward to that season all year.
Now, if there was just some way to skip over the following season, I’d be ecstatic.
